3 Oct 98 - Open Competition

Another fantastic day of climbing with with 27 of the country's best climbers and over 100 spectators. Many thanks to everyone who made the event such a success, especially:

	The team from Auckland Sportclimbing (Andrew, Jenni, Luke & Steve) who organized and managed the event.
	The staff and management at the Birkenhead Wall for the best venue ever.
	Bivouac Outdoors for contributing the great prizes, which included Gift Vouchers, Climbing Shoes and Clothing.

29 Aug 98 - Youth Competition

A fantastic day with around thirty climbers competing in one of four categories. Competition was tough due to the amazing display of talent (from people like Melody Fullerton and Imogen Restall) which caused more than just the occasional "Wow" from the fifty or so spectators.

Many thanks to all those who competed and a special thanks to the organizers, whose hard work certainly paid a dividend on the day. The competition was organized by Auckland Sportclimbing, held at the new Birkenhead Wall and the prizes kindly donated by Alpine Action.
