1999 New Zealand National Sportclimbing Competition
|
Oh what a weekend. The competitors we talked to said it was the best national
competition ever. The finals for both competitions were held on at night with the climbing
conducted under spotlight. There were nearly 200 spectators during each of
(youth and open competition) final rounds, with the climbers providing
an amassing exhibition of skill. For the first time the competition included Speed
Climbing, which was a real hit with the spectators.
Again a special thanks to:
 | Sportclimbing Auckland (Jenni, Luke, Andrew & Steve) |
 | Birkenhead Leisure
Centre (Trevor and the team) |
